Cesar Chavez Day of Service Event at Pacific Park Natural Demo Garden

Join WSU Clark County Master Gardeners and people from across the county and around the world for a day of community service in honor of Cesar Chavez. Chavez was a civil rights, Latino and farm labor leader; a community organizer and social entrepreneur; a champion of militant nonviolent social change; and a crusader for the environment and consumer rights. Help spiff up the Natural Demonstration Garden at Pacific Park on Saturday, April 6 from 10am to 12noon. Tasks will include winter clean up, weeding, pruning and whatever else is needed. Dress for the weather. Bring water. Tools provided. 9/11 Day of Remembrance Service Event

For months following September 11, 2001, people came together to grieve family, friends and strangers lost in the terrorist attacks in New York and Pennsylvania. More than 20 years later, we still do. Sometimes called “Patriots Day” or “Day of Remembrance”, September 11 has become an annual day for many Americans to remember, reflect, honor, and mourn.
Joining WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardeners for a day of service to the community and help spiff up the Natural Demonstration Garden at Pacific Park.
